About N.G.D. Limited (Medlilink East Midlands Start-Up Business Award Nominee - 2008)

N.G.D. Limited was incorporated in July 2006 and is now located in the Sir Colin Campbell Building, University of Nottingham Innovation Park.   In the start up phase, significant strategic support was received from Mr David Gough, representing Lachesis investors and a network of business mentors and advisers including Mr Christopher Luton (Head of Intellectual Property University of Nottingham until December 2007), Dr Gary Evans (Senior Intellectual Property Manager based at the Research Innovation services, University of Nottingham), Dr Rosamund Graves (Business development executive previously based at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham) and Professor John Peberdy of the University of Nottingham Institute of Enterprise and Innovation. Further support was obtained for a limited time (up until April 2007) from Mr Andrew Stacey, a business consultant based in Biocity, Nottingham.  The management team at N.G.D. limited include a board of Directors (Mr William Atiomo- Founder &  Dr Tolu Atiomo) and a University Observer (Dr Gary Evans).  Mr William Atiomo is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham and Consultant Gynaecologist at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.  Dr Tolu Atiomo  is a General Practitioner with a background in Gynaecology and Obstetrics based in Nottingham.    N.G.D. limited obtained some funding through Lachesis. The Lachesis Fund is an early stage seed fund investing in the technologies arising from research undertaken at the Universities of De Montfort, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Nottingham Trent.
